It always seems that when I head to the studio with no clear plan in mind I end up doing a portrait. Faces, features, human representation.
When I scribble, it's eyes, mouths, noses, breasts, bottoms.
Funnily enough, they usually seem to be predominantly blue.
This particular one started with earth tones - the local art supply shop had a special on big bottles of inks and I chose to take home orange, brown and red. (Mental blank on the actual names, burnt something and scarlet some-such.)
I haven't released my inner vandal for a while, so the good old spray paints came out, and I only have them in grey, black, silver and gold.
Silly, and fun, and drippy and therapeutic. The results don't really matter, it was just really good to get a brush in my hand and have a go.
