Yehah!! The first work in progress for the year.  Hoping to have fun with this in 2016.
"Spirit Guide" is Ink on paper, almost A1 size - because I like it big and for no other reason. Bigger is easier, somehow. Gives me room to move and makes me feel unconstrained.
This might turn into a series, but this year I'm not getting ahead of myself. One thing at a time.
Loosely based on photos I've taken of members of my pit-crew swimming under water and the natural world around me. Once again, trying to contain myself to things that are truely in my world; seen through my eyes and not through a screen.
As much as possible. . . .  well, that's the plan anyway.

Just out of interest, what animals do you feel like you have a special connection with?

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners and First People of the land on which I stand, who are collectively known as the Southern Yamatji People. I pay my respects to the Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of the Southern Yamatji People.
I would also like to specifically acknowledge the Naaguja and Wilunya people from amongst the collective group of Southern Yamatji People and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. The Naaguja and Wilunya Peoples are the Traditional Owners and First People of the place I have made my home and where I make my art.
