Reflections

M . . . well I was going to say . . .

For some reason as I sat down to write this today my keyboard has decided I am not allowed to delete the letter "m" at the start of the post. So what am I going to do about it?

Simple. I'm going to roll with it.

I already know this is going to be a bit of a scatty post, since I am avoiding the jobs I'm meant to be doing, like stretching canvases. Instead I'm sitting here where it's cool, under the fan and listening to the music a friend gave me the other day. And blogging. (Good gracious - I never thought I'd hear myself say that!)

I read a fantastic post on Facebook today (another thing I never thought I'd say) from Health's Digest (I don't subscribe but obviously a friend does) that went something like this . . .
Fear can either be:

Forget
Everything
And
Run

or

Face
Everything
And
Rise.

Food for thought, but it's action that gets you where you want to go, and in the words of the great Halfred P Doolittle "a little bit of luck".

Example. The day I decided I was walking away from art forever I received 3 opportunities to pursue the arts as a career, and several projects to go along with it. So what am I going to do? Well, I'm going to roll with it.

At some point in the near future I'll be releasing some information about these projects and opportunities - thanks where it's due, if nothing else - but for now, I'm going to leave you with a photo of the newest Jane Barndon Pit Crew Member. Switch, the pointer puppy.

*Read the following in your best fashion parade voice - lol*

Switch is lounging in the very best and most colourful of Jane Barndon's cushions, available exclusively from Redbubble, and sure to brighten the gloomiest of days, rooms, houses and lives. Puppy not included.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners and First People of the land on which I stand, who are collectively known as the Southern Yamatji People. I pay my respects to the Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of the Southern Yamatji People.
I would also like to specifically acknowledge the Naaguja and Wilunya people from amongst the collective group of Southern Yamatji People and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. The Naaguja and Wilunya Peoples are the Traditional Owners and First People of the place I have made my home and where I make my art.
