*Also known as an awesome adventure into watching amazing artists combine printmaking and heavy machinery.

I know this woman. Her name is Lizzy. She's a huge massive whole lot of amazing and she's also an artist. A Printmaker.
This project is her baby, her initiative, and her very well deserved success, which I and a dozen other artists participated in.

So let me just take a moment and say, "Thank You, Lizzy. This has been amazing."

We were all given a HUGE piece of MDF to take home, draw up our designs and carve em out, baby.

Then, we got together with our woodcuts down at the amazing new Multi-User Facility (it's a LOT more awesome than it's name implies!!) in Geraldton on the foreshore for Print Day.

And this happened. . . .
If you're interested in helping Lizzy make this an annual adventure or simply following along with what happens to the prints next, click here to check out the official Hard Pressed Facebook Page. :)

The midwest has got some serious talent floating around, and it's been an absolute pleasure watching some of it in action during this project.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners and First People of the land on which I stand, who are collectively known as the Southern Yamatji People. I pay my respects to the Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of the Southern Yamatji People.
I would also like to specifically acknowledge the Naaguja and Wilunya people from amongst the collective group of Southern Yamatji People and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. The Naaguja and Wilunya Peoples are the Traditional Owners and First People of the place I have made my home and where I make my art.
