Photography is one of the outlets for my need for imagery creation.
And, incase you hadn't worked it out, the ocean is one of my favourite muses.
I love it. And interestingly enough, to some extent I, and everyone, depends on it for our very lives. Almost half of all oxygen in the world is created through the microscopic life-forms in the sea.
Every now and then I go on a "Research Trip" to the sea and take a lot of photos, then come home and get into some serious creating.
This morning the sea was clear and clean, and I've come home with some photos that are art-works in their own right. What's captured on film might be blown and spun glass sculptures, glimmering in the early morning light. Dynamic, fragile and yet undoubtedly one of the strongest and most implacable forces on earth. . . who wouldn't be inspired by it?
And heads up - after this morning's trip, I want to paint.
